New Competition

In January 2006 we will be launching a new competition called the "South Wales Conference". This is a new opportunity for players in South Wales to meet and compete in a quality venue, on a Sunday evening.

Features

• Teams consist of 2 players
• Matches take place at the Welsh Institute of Sport (Sophia Gardens)
• All matches are played on a Sunday Evening (Central Venue Style)
• Each player plays two singles and a doubles
• Anyone is eligible (with the exception of players playing in a "non affiliated" League)
  
• Prize money will be offered
• Teams can be from anywhere (no local club restrictions)
• Matches will be most Sundays, but will be designed not to conflict with Welsh League
• There will be a number of Divisions based on player count and standard
• There will be a joining fee and a nightly playing fee, both will be relatively modest amounts
  
• Players not currently registered with any League or directly with the TTAW, will need to pay an additional 11 registration to the TTAW
  (players currently playing in / registered with, a Welsh League, already pay this through their League subscription)
  

More detail to follow when everything is finalised, hopefully pilot scheme will start operating in January
